First-Year Intelligence
How do we know how best to serve First Year students? We ask you!
FYE counts on an advisory council of freshman students to guide office programs and services. First Year Intelligence (FYI) is comprised of a diverse group of 12-15 first-year students. The Council meets twice each month to discuss the salient issues, concerns, and suggestions from the Class of 2012. From these discussions, the Council works in collaboration with FYE to respond to the needs and interests of Loyola’s first-year students.
MISSION STATEMENT
First-Year Intelligence (FYI) exists to work toward enhancing the experience of Loyola's freshman students by listening and responding to the needs they put forward.
GOALS: (1) to act as a liaison between the freshman student body and the Office of First-Year Experience to ensure that the voices of the freshman class are heard; (2) to identify the positive and negative aspects of the first-year experience; and (3) to actively strive to improve the first-year experience for Loyola's freshman students.
