Protect Yourself from Becoming a Victim of Theft
The Department of Campus Safety has reported a rise in computer laptop thefts on campus. Theft is the most common crime on college campuses, and it's easy to avoid being a victim:
- Never leave your laptop or other personal items unattended in libraries, study areas, classrooms, or restrooms.
- Always lock the door to your residence hall room or apartment, even if you only step out for a few minutes.
- Keep your valuable items out of sight by storing them in drawers and closets.
- Remember to close and lock all windows when you leave your room or home.

"Isn't college exactly the magnificent time that it is because of what we do when we're procrastinating? Doesn't being with your friends when you know you should be doing something "productive" make that time with them all that much more exciting?"
