This podcast is produced by the Unified Student Government Lake Shore Campus Committee chaired by, Student Vice President of the Lake Shore Campus, Dan Kleinman.

To find out more about the podcast and how you can get your events featured on the next episode, please visit: www.luc.edu/orgs/usg (available starting February 25). Or, for more information, contact Dan Kleinman at: dklein2@luc.edu.

Support the Ramblers and Receive a Free Meal

Cheer on the Loyola Ramblers men's basketball team in the final home game of the season, February 24 at 7 p.m, versus UIC. The first 500 fans to arrive at the Gentile Center wearing gold will receive a coupon for two free entrees at Chipotle. If the Ramblers score 95 points or more at any home basketball game, all fans in attendance receive a free burrito, bol or tacos from the sponsoring Chipotle located at Sheridan and Albion on the day after the game. Game attendees must bring their ticket stubs from the game to redeem the free food.

The men's basketball team has a record of 19-9 overall and 9-5 in the Horizon League, putting them in third place. For more Rambler news, visit: http://loyolaramblers.cstv.com.

    Submit Damen Award Nominations

Nominations for the 2006-2007 Damen Awards for Outstanding Students and Organizations will be accepted until March 2 at 5 p.m.

Named for Loyola's founder, Arnold Damen, S.J., the Damen Awards honor full-time undergraduate students and student organizations that are committed to Jesuit ideals and are sources of inspiration and leadership to the Loyola community. These students and organizations have led other students in spirit, motivation and purpose. Damen Awardees are students and organizations displaying exemplary leadership in the Loyola undergraduate community, "living their lives in the spirit of Loyola and lighting the way for other students to follow."

Voting for individual and organization finalists will take place in March and is open to all Loyola undergraduate students, faculty and staff. A ballot will be sent to all Loyola e-mail accounts. The awards will be presented on April 20 at the Third Annual Damen Ball.

For more information about the Damen Awards or to download a nomination form, visit: www.luc.edu/damenawards.

    Join the Collegiate 4th Group

Do you want to deepen your faith and build community in the Ignatian tradition? The Collegiate 4th is a group created in the spirit of the "fourth day retreat." The group meets monthly and is open to all students who want to discuss college experiences and issues of faith and calling. Students share a meal, listen to a peer reflector and engage in small group discussions and activities at each meeting. The next Collegiate 4th meeting is scheduled for February 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the Simpson Multipurpose Room. For more information, call: 773.508.2200.

Nominate Students for a Leadership Conference

Loyola's Department of Student Leadership Development will send up to six students to the National Conference on Student Leadership from March 31 - April 2. This conference is a skill-building opportunity for students who have demonstrated leadership potential; it is not a reward for outstanding leadership. Attendance is limited to freshmen, sophomores and juniors. Please feel free to nominate a student whom you think should attend this conference (self-nominations will not be accepted). All nominations should be e-mailed to Jack McLean at: jmclean@luc.edu. Be sure to specify the nominee's contact information in your e-mail, along with the reason you think he or she deserves to attend the conference. Nominations must be submitted by March 2 at 5 p.m. All nominees will be required to complete an application, and finalists will be interviewed. For more information about the conference, visit: www.ncslcollege.com/ncsl/spring.html. If you have any questions, contact Jack McLean at: 773.508.3912; or e-mail: jmclean@luc.edu.

Prepare Your Student E-mail System for Shutdown

The migration from the old Student E-mail System (SEM) to GroupWise 7 Web Access is now in its final stage. On March 9, students will no longer have access to SEM. Be sure to back up any messages in your SEM mailbox that you wish to keep by forwarding e-mail from your SEM mailbox to your current GroupWise e-mail address. Also, please be aware that your old address book was not moved to GroupWise, so you will need to recreate it in the new e-mail program.
