    Attend the Chapel Lecture Series

Go to the Chapel Lecture Series on September 17 at 7 p.m. in Madonna della Strada Chapel. Simone Campbell, S.S.S., Executive Director of Network, the National Catholic Social Justice Lobby, will speak on "Fear-Based Politics...and an Anecdote." The political rhetoric in the United States has been polarized, divisive and fear-based for many years. This fear has driven people farther apart, making security and the War on Terrorism the basis of political campaigns and causing our country to drift farther from the founding notion of the common good. Sister Campbell will explore this fear-based reality from her inside Washington perspective and propose an alternative view. Admission to the lecture is free. The event is sponsored by the Office of the Vice President for Mission and Ministry. For more information, call: 773.508.2091.

Go to an El Tracks Presentation

Attend an El Tracks multimedia presentation about Loyola construction updates on September 19 at 12 p.m. in the Simpson Multipurpose Room. Wayne Magdziarz, Vice President of Strategic Planning and Chief of Staff, will discuss details and answer questions about the many changes taking place at the Lake Shore and Water Tower Campuses. Lunch will be provided at the event. You must RSVP by September 14 by calling: 773.508.2091; or e-mailing: jcanino@luc.edu. This event is sponsored by the Office of the Vice President for Mission and Ministry.
