First and Second Year Advising

Advising Welcome

Assistant Dean of Advising's Welcome

On behalf of First and Second Year Advising (FSYA), I would like to extend a warm welcome to our current and prospective students, parents, faculty, and staff visiting our website and using our services.

FSYA provides excellent academic advising services to promote student success through building relationships with our students over the course of their first two years at Loyola.  As a student or client of FSYA, you can expect academic advisors to be friendly and supportive, helping you to:

•Adjust to new social and academic challenges
•Improve time management and academic success strategies
•Navigate course enrollments and administrative requirements
•Pursue a meaningful academic plan
•Develop a 4-year graduation plan
•Explore civic engagement, research, internship, and career development opportunities with our campus partners

Each member of our advising team strives to support our mission.

We support the development of each of our students as a whole person, helping them understand and explore how their own gifts can promote academic excellence, spiritual understanding, and an awareness of justice and diversity issues within our global community.

Additionally, our advising team supports and serves parents, faculty, and staff from a student-centered perspective.  We are located in suite 260 in the Sullivan Center at our Lake Shore Campus and open during regular office hours.

For more information, please contact us on (773) 508-7714 or via e-mail: advising@luc.edu.
