Description

U.S. Ambassador Caroline Kennedy (Japan) and U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs Evan Ryan will discuss the role of study abroad in U.S. relations and practical ways students can access global opportunities.

The event will feature remarks by Ambassador Kennedy and Assistant Secretary Ryan, a panel discussion with Loyola students who have recently studied abroad, and a Q&A session. Panelists will highlight the value of studying outside of the U.S. and provide practical ways for students to access these important global opportunities.

The U.S. Department of State partnered with Loyola’s Office of International Programs to host the discussion because of the University’s strong emphasis on study abroad opportunities for students. During the 2015–2016 academic year, more than 850 undergraduate students participated in learning opportunities abroad for academic credit.

The event is open to Loyola students, faculty, and staff. For more information on study abroad opportunities, visit LUC.edu/studyabroad.
