The Center works to build partnerships with other organizations and educational institutions in order to more effectively support Catholic schools PK-12 to enhance their academic and spiritual mission. To date, the Center has developed partnership initiatives with the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA), the Jesuit Secondary Education Association (JSEA), and the Archdiocese of Chicago Office of Catholic Schools (OCS).
With support from the Rozicki Endowment, GCCE assisted the Cristo Rey Network in sponsoring the 2006 and 2007 National New Teachers Conferences held at Loyola University Chicago. GCCE participated on the conference design team and served as presenters at the conferences.
GCCE and School of Education (SOE) faculty addressed national audiences of principals and teachers of the Nativity/Miguel Network. GCCE will assist the network in future planning for measuring and supporting effectiveness across the network schools.
GCCE served on the design and presentation team for the Jesuit Secondary Education Association National Curriculum Conference held at Loyola University Chicago in June, 2004.
GCCE is a partner with NCEA departments (elementary, secondary, and CACE) in sponsoring conferences, offering sessions at national conventions, serving on task forces, and offering publications, GCCE is also a member of ACLP.
GCCE and SOE have formed a partnership wit the Office of Catholic Schools in Chicago to establish the Catholic Educator Cohort which allows Catholic school teachers to earn a M.Ed. in Instructional Leadership with K-12 administrative certification, receiving a 1/3 tuition discount.
GCCE is a member of the planning group for the Mid-Atlantic Catholic Schools Consortium summit meeting in September, 2007.
Vitality through Excellence is a consortium of five Chicago Catholic elementary schools which worked together during the 2006-2007 school year to improve mathematics achievement in partnership with the Center for Catholic School Effectiveness, Loyola University Chicago.
