First Interdisciplinary Symposium
Deadline: March 5, 2008
The Graduate Student Advisory Council (GSAC), in conjuction with the Graduate School Alumni Group (GSAG) and The Graduate School, will hold the first interdisciplinary research symposium on Saturday, April 12, 2008 in the Crown Center Auditorium at the Lake Shore Campus. The research symposium will serve as a forum for Loyola graduate students and alumni to present their work to their peers. The program will run from 9:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m.
If you are interested in finding out what types of research other Loyola graduate students and alumni are doing and would like to present your work as well, please consider attending.
The symposium will be organized around two major themes: public health and the urban environment.
Presenting your work-in the the form of either an oral presentation or a poster-would be a significant contribution to this symposium, as it may bring students from unrelated disciplines to a greater understanding of the current status of your field.
Members of the GSAG will facilitate the various sessions and will hold a panel discussion during lunch whereby students can ask questions about career placement, internships and other topics related to life after graduate school.
Please visit the research symposium website at http://luc.edu/gradschool/research_symposium.shtml for more information. Here, you can register online as a presenter or an attendee.
We look forward to your participation!
