Graduate Student Progress System (GSPS) to Open More Forms to Students October 22nd
Starting October 22nd, The Graduate School will be opening up the Graduate Student Progress System (GSPS) to students for regular submission of forms. This is an exciting step forward in our initiative to become a paperless office. For the last year, The Graduate School has been working with GPDs using electronic form submission and now we want to open this to students.
Simply go to gsps.luc.edu ( https://gsps.luc.edu ). Log in with your LUC ID and password, just like you would for email or LOCUS. You will now be able to submit the following forms electronically:
- Leave of Absence
- Thesis or Dissertation Committee Form
- Thesis or Dissertation Proposal Ballot
- Travel Award (Already available to students!)
- Professional Activities (including Placement for jobs, Publications, Presentations at conferences, Internships, and External Awards)
- with more to come in the upcoming terms!
Once these forms launch on October 22nd, they will no longer be available in paper format. We will update our forms page on our website accordingly, so that you will be directed to the GSPS database.
Please note that this is for new forms starting 10/22, we will not need students to re-submit any previous information (i.e. thesis or dissertation), unless requested. If you are forming a committee or proposing your thesis or dissertation in the coming month, it is highly suggested that you hand-deliver the completed form to the Graduate School with all signatures and all required information by no later than October 16th. Anything after that time will be requested to hold and enter in the database after the launch date.
Please contact Aaron Barker, Office Assistant, at abarker@luc.edu with any questions.
