Benefits

  • M.B.A. students may concentrate in: accounting, business ethics, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, health care management, human resource management, information systems, international business, legal environment (JB/MBA students only), management, marketing, operations management, risk management and sport management.
  • All courses focus on real-world, hands-on business issues. Students apply theory learned in the classroom to current business problems, often in partnership with local business organizations.
  • More than 80 percent of our courses are taught by full-time faculty members, who are dedicated to teaching and research, and easily accessible to students.
  • Concentrated master's degree programs in accountancy, human resources, integrated marketing communications, and information systems management provide M.B.A. students with opportunities for dual degrees and expanded course offerings.
  • Loyola M.B.A. students have the opportunity to enroll in interdisciplinary courses and programs, offered by the Graduate School of Business.

Degree Requirements

Completion of the M.B.A. degree program requires between 14 and 18 courses. A prerequisite of calculus is required but may be waived or taken at Loyola as part of the MBA degree.  A maximum of four courses from the fundamental core can be waived for qualified students, depending on their academic background. Students may earn a concentration by choosing courses from an extensive list of advanced electives.
