HRER 442: Global Overseas Seminar on Human Resources
Course Description
This is a special seminar program which involves two class sessions in the U.S. and 14-21 days overseas in highly organized study and professional activity. Country selection is different each year, but the focus is the same: meetings and discussions with government officials, HR and corporate managers, trade unions and academics concerned with human resources training and industrial relations. Frequent seminar-group meetings are held during the trip to discuss issues and observations. An extensive research paper based on research areas identified during the trip must be submitted after return to the U.S. The trip is offered at the end of the summer quarter when there is sufficient interest to cover direct costs.
