HRER 462: Labor Management Relations
Course Description
This course provides an overview of the field of labor management relations and is intended to increase the students' awareness and sensitivity to the issues facing the parties. Union organizing campaigns, involvement of the NLRB, collective bargaining and dispute resolution techniques and strategies as well as operations in unionized and union-free organizations will be examined and considered. Students will consider and explore the ways in which labor and management work together with a progressive attitude and positive spirit of mutual commitment, cooperation and trust.
