  • Consumer behavior, with special emphasis on consumer rituals, gift exchanges, and gift- shopping
  • Retailing with emphasis on atmospherics, shopping behaviors and gender difference
  • Qualitative research methodologies appropriate for studying consumer behaviors in context:
    • ethnography
    • projective techniques
    • observation techniques
    • shopping with consumers

    Professional Activities

    • "Women and Business Conference," Active member of Planning Committee for Annual Conferences for Women in Business. Located at Loyola University Chicago. These conferences were the cooperative effort of the Ann B. Ida Gannon, B.V.M. Center, the Loyola School of Business Administration, the women business school faculty, and the Loyola Center for Values in Business. The conference brought to campus high-profile women business leaders to serve as keynote speakers.
    • Track Chair on "Cultural Issues in Marketing," Eighth Biannual World Marketing Congress, June 24-27, 1997, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
    • Loyola University Center for Values in Business, Organized and executed annual seminars for Undergraduate Seniors and M.B.A. Students in the School of Business, 1992 to 1997.
