Ethics Standards Group
The AMA's Ethics Standards Group, whose mission it is to examine and promote physician professionalism through policy development, educational outreach, and rigorous academic research, offers an externship program. Students join our group on a weekly basis throughout a semester (summer, fall, spring), providing valuable support for ongoing projects and initiatives in our group, including research on a wide variety of medical ethics issues that contribute to the formation of AMA ethics policy, as included in the AMA's Code of Medical Ethics.
