The Cook County State's Attorney's Office, employing over nine hundred Assistant State's Attorneys, is the second largest prosecutor's office in the nation. The Cook County State's Attorney's Office prosecutes criminal misdemeanors and felonies and enforces all laws applicable to Cook County. The office also enforces child support orders, protects consumers and the elderly from exploitation, and assists victims of domestic violence.
