Health Law Fellowship -- APPLICATION DEADLINE IS MAY 1, 2011
Each year the Beazley Institute may award a fellowship to a full-time incoming LLM student. More information on applying for the fellowship can be found here.
Health Law Externships
All full-time LLM students are required to complete a health law externship of between 1 and 3 credit hours, i.e., 3 credit hours maximum can be counted towards the LLM degree. The externship allows students an opportunity to work on law related matters within health care organizations throughout the Chicago area. Students are encouraged to complete their externship assignments during the fall semester but may choose to enroll in the spring semester or both semesters of the program. More information on the health law externship program can be found here.
Student Health Insurance
Loyola University Chicago's Board of Trustees requires that all graduate and professional students enrolled for 8 or more credit hours (or registered for thesis or dissertation supervision) at the start of the fall or spring semester have individual health care insurance. All students meeting the eligibility requirements will automatically be enrolled in and charged for Student Health Insurance by the University to their student account. If you already have your own insurance or are covered under a parent's plan, you may waive out of Loyola's mandatory Student Health Insurance by providing proof of other coverage and a credit for the insurance charge will post to your student account. More information regarding student health insurance can be found here.
Certification and Immunization
Loyola University Chicago requires all students registering for 6 credit hours or more to show proof of their immunization records to the Student Health Office. If you have any questions regarding this requirement, please contact the Wellness Center by calling (773) 508-2530. Please check here to determine whether or not you are exempt from this requirement.
