All members of the Loyola community are welcome, though most activites are specifically designed for alumni and students. For an idea of what to expect, view our photo set from last year.
What kinds of programs will be offered?
Homecoming Weekend includes a range of programs including speakers, entertainment, panel discussions, reunion events, sporting events, open houses, student showcases, and much more.
How do I register?
Registration will be available starting in early August. The preferred method of registration is online.
Can I attend if I didn't pre-register?
Yes. However, we strongly encourage you to register in advance as some events will sell out.
If I have questions specifically about the registration process, who should I contact?
Please contact Alumni Relations at LUC-Homecoming@luc.edu or call 800.5.LOYOLA.
Transportation and Parking
How can I travel between the Lake Shore Campus and the Water Tower Campus? Will you be running shuttles?
We will not be running shuttles between the campuses. However, the lakeside campuses are connected by the Red Line CTA and a variety of buses (the #147 bus is your best option). You can plan your trip here.
Where can I park during Homecoming Weekend?
Parking in the main campus garage at Lake Shore Campus will be free all weekend. Enter campus at Kenmore and Sheridan, and follow the campus drive to the garage. You can leave your car in this garage overnight. If you are visiting the Water Tower Campus, please refer to the LUC parking website for more information. We are not able to offer free parking at Water Tower Campus.
What is the standard dress during Homecoming Weekend?
The general dress code for the weekend is casual attire: the more maroon and gold the better! If you are participating in outdoor programs, we strongly advise you to bring an umbrella and suitable clothing for variable weather.
Can I stay in the residence halls during Homecoming Weekend?
Unfortunately because school is in session, residence halls will not be available for guests to stay in. We have listed a few hotels here that we recommend.
I have some particular needs related to accessibility. What should I do?
Please contact us if you have specific needs, and we can assist you.
Don’t see an answer to your question? Please contact LUC-Homecoming@luc.edu or call 800.5.LOYOLA, and someone from our office will gladly assist you.
