University Walk Challenge 2012
FINAL UPDATE
The results from the summer University Walking Challenge are in, and Loyola placed second, behind DePaul University, with a total of 50,600 miles over the course of 10 weeks. DePaul finished with nearly 85,000 miles and Northwestern University finished third with more than 40,000 miles.
Congratulations to all the Loyolans who participated in the Challenge. The top four individuals at Loyola who logged the most miles include:
- Abe Cortes with 1,615 miles
- Eric Deubel with 1,364 miles
- Daniel Hyppolite with 1,071 miles
Awards for these top three individuals will be distributed at the University’s annual Mass and picnic, which is held in honor of the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola, on Friday, July 27th, on the Lake Shore Campus East Quad. Please make sure you attend!
Lastly, below I’ve included the list of individuals who finished in the top 10 of the entire competition. Congratulations to the six Loyola employees who earned this honor.
