Each year, the funds raised during Hunger Week are distributed to three hunger-related organizations, one local, one national and one international. This year's beneficiaries are:
CUERP Campus Gardens (local)
The Center for Urban Environmental Research and Policy (CUERP) campus gardens provide an opportunity for students to learn about urban agriculture and produce food for the local community. Food grown in the gardens is donated to A Just Harvest for distribution in Rogers Park.
Feeding America (national)
Feeding America's mission is to feed America's hungry and engage our country in the fight to end hunger. They provide food assistance to more than 25 million low-income people, including more than 9 million children and nearly 3 million seniors. Their network of more than 200 food banks serves all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, distributing more than 2 billion pounds of donated food and grocery products annually.
Catholic Relief Services (international)
Catholic Relief Services (CRS) carries out the commitment of the US Catholic community to assist the poor and vulnerable overseas. CRS promotes human development by responding to major emergencies, fighting disease and poverty, and nurturing peaceful and just societies. Additionally, they address the root causes of conflict and help communities bring about lasting change and peace.

What Do You Hunger For?
"We can alter the way we live our lives so that others have the gift of that same life and the same basic human rights that we are granted. Hunger Week's message is that working for justice, specifically the basic human right of Poor,
is not just a part of our life, but can be inherent to the way we live."
