Spring Fling Celebration: Contest announcement

Loyola University Chicago Libraries are pleased to announce a contest to reward the student group with largest attendance at Spring 2009 Information Commons programs attributed to the Spring Fling celebration.

At the Spring Fling, 75 guests of the winning student group will gather on the fourth floor of the Klarchek Information Commons for a catered gathering hosted by the Dean of the Libraries. The date of the party is April 18 from 4pm-7pm.

A second prize $75.00 gift certificate for a local restaurant will be awarded to the group with the second highest attendance attributed to it.

Here is how to win:

  • Eligible student groups (undergraduate and graduate) are those recognized by the Student Activities & Greek Affairs.
  • Eligible programs are scheduled in the Klarchek Information Commons.
  • At the end of each program, attendees who are currently enrolled in classes at LUC are invited to sign in with their name and the name of the student group to which they wish to credit their attendance.
    • The attendee need not be a member of the student group; non-members may attend on a group's behalf
    • Several programs containing identical content are repeated. One student may attribute attendance at such a program to only one student group on one occasion.
    • Individual and group names must be legible; illegible entries will be disregarded.
    • Participating groups and current attendance rankings will be made available on request.

Contact Reference Librarian/Bibliographer Jane Currie with questions concerning the contest.

Decisions made by the contest organizers are final.

Any student or student group that violates contest policies will be disqualified.
