Center for Public Service
The Center for Public Service will be a new center of excellence that includes five main program areas. The center will:
-
Sponsor research and scholarship
-
Host special exhibits, conferences, a speaker's series and workshops
-
Publish newsletters and journals
-
Sponsor public outreach programs focusing on civic education and public discourse
-
Engage Loyola's alumni network in a comprehensive internship and career services program
A non-partisan academic unit, the Center will house the government archives of prominent Illinois statespeople, beginning with two former U.S. representatives and Loyola University Chicago alumni: the late Henry Hyde, recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and Dan Rostenkowski (both pictured below).

For more information about the Center for Public Service and the services they offer, contact the University Archives at: 773.508.2661. The center will be located on the third floor of the Information Commons.
