TeamSpot is available in group study rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor with large plasma displays and computers. For rules, policies and the reservation system, visit the Group Study Rooms page.
TeamSpot has several outstanding features that truly make group work an instantly collaborative and interactive experience. Each user connects with their individual laptop to the computer in the group study room, which acts as the TeamSpot host that allows for seemless movement of files and ideas between computers. Follow the links above for downloading the TeamSpot software and connecting to the TeamSpot hosts in the group study rooms. Below is a list of TeamSpot key features:
- Jumping Screens: move your cursor off your laptop and onto the host computer, no need to switch keyboard/mouse between the two!
- Easy Cut & Paste: you can copy, cut and paste text, links and even files/folders from your laptop to the host just by jumping screens.
- Quick Drag & Drop: Drag and drop files to TeamSpot that automatically save and open on all recipent laptops, no more emailing and choosing locations to save files.
- Annotate: draw, annotate and make revisions like you would a physical document with the click of a button.
- Show & Share Screens: No need to physically move your computer to show someone what you're doing, just click a button and they see it on their computer. Furthermore, with a click of a button you can share your screen so others can use your computer without moving.
- Archive Everything: files that are sent between computers, links, annotated images and even comments are automatically saved to an archive that is identical for all users that helps to avoid any confusion of current files or duplication of work.
