Fr. Stephen Mitten serves as the Spiritual Director and Resident Ecology Faculty at Loyola University Retreat and Ecology Campus (LUREC) and at the Center for Urban Environmental Research and Policy (CUERP) at Loyola University Chicago. He holds a master’s of science degree in tropical ecology and a graduate certificate in tropical biology and conservation both from the International Center for Tropical Ecology at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and a master’s degree in Divinity from the Jesuit School of Theology-Berkeley.

Fr. Stephen is interested in ecology, education and eco-spirituality.
