Orientation

All Rome Start students should arrive on campus in Rome on August 26, 2012, for the start of orientation activities. Please review the orientation schedule for a complete list of activities.
Rome Start orientation will consist of three parts:
- August 26 - 28: Discover Loyola first-year student orientation (Rome Start students only)
- August 29 - September 2: John Felice Rome Center (JFRC) orientation (Rome Start students and other study abroad students)
- September 7 - 9: Overnight orientation trip (Rome Start students and other study abroad students. The overnight trip has been a tradition at the JFRC for many years. It marks the official start of the semester. The cost of the orientation trip is included in students’ tuition and fees.)
Move-In Day
August 26, 2012, is the official move-in day for Rome Start students. Parents and family members are welcome to accompany their student to campus on the August 26 move-in day.
Unfortunately, it is not possible for students to arrive early or drop off luggage prior to move-in day. Should you plan to arrive in Rome prior to August 26, you will need to arrange other accommodations. Check out this list of recommended guest accommodations near campus.
