Eileen M. Daily PhD, Boston College, Institute of Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry, 2001, JD, Suffolk University Law School, 1986

Graduate Program Director, M.A. in Religious Education

My academic interest and pastoral-theological research are primarily:
-Christian art as a source and path for religious education

-Adult faith formation
-Adolescent and adult faith formation in a secular, media culture
-Experiential learning in the religious context
-Faith formation as a dynamic process related to the dynamism in other complex systems

In addition, I try to keep abreast of Continental philosophy as it might have an impact on religious education.

I am interested especially in speaking on:
-Art and theology
-- How to read Christian images
-- Theology of icons and other images
-- History of icons and the icon controversies
-- Christian history told through its art
-- Discipleship lessons through Christian art
-- Spirituality and Christian art (this is experiential and retreat-like rather than a talk)

-Adolescent faith formation opportunities in cyberspace
-Cultural change for an engaged commitment to adult faith formation
-Experiential learning for adult spirituality
