Mary Elsbernd, OSF, Ph.D. and S.T.D. Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (BELGIUM)

My position as Graduate Program Director of the MA in Social Justice at IPS gives me the opportunity and encouragement to contribute to the development of social ethics as an academic discipline through research and writing (See attachment of published books, chapters and articles) as well as praxis. My interest in the structural change dimensions of Catholic Social Teachings as well as my own leadership positions encouraged me to complete yet another degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations with the Institute of Human Resources and Industrial Relations, Loyola University Chicago (MS, 1999).

Other areas of research and writing interests include Catholic social teaching, peace & justice education, women's spirituality, women’s leadership, human rights and social change.
