Rachel "Randy" Gibbons, MPS, Loyola University
Assistant Director
Randy offers support to the IPS director and faculty. Other duties include budget manager, webmaster, graduation administrator/commissioning coordinator, and special events coordinator, as well as problem-solving for students. Randy began working at IPS in 1982. She has seen a great many changes in ongoing development of the Institute, including the addition
of full-time faculty, 5 additionial Masters' degrees, 4 Institute directors, and the IPS office being moved 4 times!
Randy has a strong commitment to Social Justice issues. She was a member of the Loyola's Mission and Ministry Staff Service Project Immersion team that assisted in the Katrina clean-up in 2007, co-led a group of IPS students on a service trip to
Okalona, Mississippi, and participates in the coordination of other Peace and Justice and Ecological initiatives throughout the university. She also was privileged to be a participant in the Loyola University Faculty Staff Global Immersion Trip to Peru in May, 2008 and the Heartland Conference in 2010.
Randy's other special interests and activites include: reading, traveling, cooking, and especially playing with her four grandchildren, Casey, Erin, Maddie and Tricia.
