Master of Divinity (M.Div.) Dual-Degree Programs

The M.Div. degree may be pursued in collaboration with other master's degrees offered within Loyola University Chicago's professional schools. In these programs, students pursue a curriculum composed of core courses common to both degrees, individual courses particular to each degree, and professional identity components. Students can complete the following programs in four years of full-time study:

The M.Div./M.A. in Pastoral Counseling
This dual-degree program provides the student with a comprehensive background in ministerial leadership and specialist competencies in faith-based counseling.

The M.Div./M.S.N.
This dual-degree program recognizes the historic role which the church and nursing have played as agents of health and wholeness. Graduates of this program act as agents of change, and as leaders in shaping structures and systems that will facilitate the integration of faith and health in communities.

The M.Div./M.S.W.
This dual-degree program provides the student with a comprehensive background in ministerial leadership and the competencies to become a licensed social worker.
