Creating a Banner with Powerpoint
One of the easiest and quickest ways to make a banner for your Blackboard course is to create it in Powerpoint. Follow the steps below to create a banner and upload it to your Blackboard course.
Create a Banner with PowerPoint

Open PowerPoint.

Go to the Design tab and click on Page Setup.

- In the dropdown menu of Slides Sized for, select Banner. It will automatically set the width to 8 inches by 1 inch. You can adjust the size if you want to make the banner larger. Once you set the size, click OK.

- You can add text, pictures and/or themes to create your banner. To add an image you have saved for a banner, click Picture on the Insert tab in Powerpoint and then browse for the JPG or GIF file you want to use for the banner.
- Once you are finished, go the Microsoft Button and select Save As > Other Formats.
- Type the filename and change the save type as JPG. It will ask if you want to save just this slide: click Yes.
