i>clicker

Here are the steps to set up i>clicker so polling data uploads into Blackboard's Grade Center.

For information on checking out i>clicker kits, visit Clickers.

1. Direct students to register their i>clicker remotes directly within Blackboard—you can send them this link: How Students Register i>clicker Remotes.

This
is very important – if students do not register in your course, you will not be able to upload the results of your iclicker sessions; it is not sufficient that your students have registered their clickers in another Blackboard course.

A link has been added to your course in the Tools area for students to register.

2. Set up i>clicker to work with Blackboard  Integrate software allows you to import your roster from Blackboard into i>clicker and i>grader so student names can be associated with clicker numbers. When you set up i>clicker, you add your courses to i>clicker, specify the version of Blackboard, and set grading policies. Integrate files are on the USB drive that came with your i>clicker kit.

3. Export your polling data to Blackboard in i>grader  After you have polled your students in class, your polling data will appear in i>grader. With i>grader, you can view students' points, adjust scores, delete questions, and export/upload your polling data into your Blackboard Grade Center.

NOTE: You cannot export scores to Blackboard if you are running i>grader from a network drive, such as the U drive. You will need to copy the i>grader software and your Classes folder onto the encrypted flash drive that comes with the i>clicker kit and run the i>grader export from the flash drive.

4. Review your i>clicker scores in Blackboard  Log into Blackboard and review your updated Grade Center.
