Comparing Enterprise and Free Box Accounts

LUC BOX (ENTERPRISE) ACCOUNTS

Cloud storage accounts created through LUC Box are considered "enterprise" accounts, available exclusively to current students, faculty, and staff through a partnership with Internet2. Accounts are for individual use only; group accounts are not available at this time.

FREE PERSONAL BOX ACCOUNTS

Free Box accounts, available to the public, are not related to the LUC Box service. Anyone can have a free personal Box account; if you choose to create one, you must use a non-Loyola email address and password of your choice. You cannot associate a free personal account with your university email address. If you previously created a personal account using your Loyola ID, you have two options:

SHARING FILES BETWEEN PERSONAL AND ENTERPRISE ACCOUNTS

You can share files from your personal account to your enterprise account, but be sure to follow appropriate security guidelines and Loyola's Acceptable Use Policy for Electronic University Resources.
