Spring Cleaning Challenge
Help Ensure a Smooth Email Upgrade by Cleaning Up Your Mailbox
Many of us hang onto email messages long after we need to, “just in case.” From a technical standpoint, that’s OK, since our new Outlook mailboxes will have 10 GB of space, far more than what was available in GroupWise. So if you’ve saved things along the way, and want them to be there on May 20 when you open Outlook for the first time, they will be -- both the items in your mailbox as well as the past two years of your archive.
But if you’d like to use this move to start fresh and uncluttered, we invite you to join in our Spring Cleaning Challenge. The challenge is simple: Delete what you don’t need anymore, and then let us know how you fared.
It’s easy to participate:
- Make a note of the current size of your inbox or archive.*
- Delete the messages that you no longer need.
- Make a note of the new size of your inbox or archive.
- Complete and submit the Spring Cleaning Challenge form.
*To check the size of your inbox, select Tools, Check Mailbox Size from the main GroupWise window. To check the size of your archive, open your archive, then selection Tools, Check Mailbox Size.
The campaign runs from March 25 to March 31, and we’ll be offering $25 gift cards to the top five “most-reduced” mailboxes or archives. (You can clean up in both locations, though you should enter only the one that shows the most improvement.) Everyone who participates will receive a small prize.

Important Note about Your Archive
Please do not make any changes to your archive after April 8, 2013. We’ll be turning off the auto archive feature at this time to prepare for the migration and changes you make manually to your archive will not be saved.
