  • Completed an initial assessment of the Columbia product; additional discussions scheduled. High-level university requirements under development. Available tool list and usage being complied. Gartner best practice suggests it will be some time before e-portfolio usage is mainstream within higher-ed.
  • Next Steps: 1) Continue discussions with Columbia regarding their solution/experience. 2) Complete industry assessment & usage. 3) Estimated target for final results is December with a final recommendation/decision the following Spring (2011).

  • Workgroup from Academic Affairs and ITS evaluating the results of the current with Symplicity, defining university requirements, and researching range of solutions and best practices to finalize recommendation for ePortfolio solution at Loyola.
