Loyola Wireless Connect

Overview

Loyola's wireless networks provide secure, mobile Internet access for faculty, staff, and students as well as visitors and guests from wireless access points located throughout the Lake Shore and Water Tower and Health Sciences campuses. Users can connect to Loyola's wireless networks from a laptop, smartphone, or other mobile device using wireless access points conveniently located in campus buildings, residence halls and public spaces.

Students, Faculty, and Staff

Students Faculty and Staff should use the 'LUC' wireless network.  This network is for those with an active Loyola UVID and password. You will need to connect to the LUC network before registration. There are multiple guides on this page for connecting with different operating systems.

Visitors and Guests

Visitors and Guests should use the 'LUC-Guest' wireless network  This network is for those visiting the Loyola Campus temporarily. Guest accounts are limited to 8 hours, but are available to any visitor to Loyola from any Wireless Access Point on campus.

LUC Devices

Students Faculty and Staff needing to register devices that do not support the new security features supported by the 'LUC' wireless network should use the 'LUC-Devices' wireless network.  Users will need an active Loyola UVID and password.  Devices that fall into this category are most gaming consoles and streaming devices.

Eduroam

Eduroam is an international wi-fi roaming service for users in research, higher education and further education. It provides researchers, teachers and students easy and secure network access when visiting an institution other than their own. Guests can find out if their institution is an eduroam member by either checking with their own IT department or clicking the “Where is Eduroam” link at https://www.eduroam.us/
