Selecting a Device and Plan

Mobile Technology is a rapidly changing landscape and there are many devices, plans and service providers to choose from. Making these selections is a personal choice based on preference, affordability and specific needs, such as international availability.

The Blackberry device remains the most dependable mobile device to get your email and calendar items. To connect a Blackberry device to our BES server, you must purchase the enterprise data plan from your service provider.

Our GroupWise Data Synchronizer server is used to synch many of the non-Blackberry mobile devices. To connect a device to our GroupWise Data Synchronizer, you can use a personal data plan.  It is not recommended that you connect via a wireless only connection as you will only receive data when connected to the wireless.

Please visit the following Novell site for the list of mobile devices that have been tested with the GroupWise Data Synchronizer before selecting a device.
