BURSAR INFORMATION FOR THE JANUARY TERM, 2013
Registration, Tuition, & Billing
Registration for J-term courses opens October 15th and closes January 1. Students can register for a J-term class via LOCUS, by selecting J-term 2013 in the Term selector menu
E-Bills will be generated on December 15, and all tuition and fees for J-term courses will be due on January 5.
J-term is not a part of the Spring term. Students can only register for up to 3 credit hours for J-term. Tuition for J-term courses will be $675 per credit hour. for CAS students. Tuition will vary upon the school; students should refer to the Bursar Tuition & Fees link http://www.luc.edu/bursar/tuition.shtml
The CTA U-Pass is not available for purchase during J-term.
Waitlists for enrollment in a J-Term class:
If a class is filled, additional students wanting to enroll can be placed on a waitlist in LOCUS, and will be automatically enrolled in the course if and when a place opens. Information for using waitlists in LOCUS can be found here.
Five students can be placed on a waitlist at a time. When a student is enrolled in a course from the waitlist, a place on the waitlist will open up. Students can be placed on multiple waitlists and the LOCUS system will allow them to enroll in just one course, the first one in which a place opens up. Students may wait-list only one class as they are only able to enroll in one class for the J-Term.
Waitlists will be active only until the Friday before the term starts, in order to prevent automatic enrollment from causing late-enrollment fees and other complications from late enrollment. For J-Term, waitlists will be disengaged on Friday December 28. On that date, the waitlists will be removed from LOCUS and enrollment for any open places in a course will be held on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Withdrawal schedule
A student who is registered for a J-term course will receive 100% tuition reimbursement if they withdraw or drop by end of business day January 2, 2013. Tuition reimbursement for withdrawals or drops after January 2 will follow the schedule in the table given below.

Financial aid
Financial Aid refunds will not be provided for the J-term period. Students may add Rambler Bucks to be charged to their student account by submitting a Charge Authorization. These Rambler Bucks can be used at the University Bookstores to purchase textbooks and supplies
