Division of Student Development Mission
The Division of Student Development seeks to enhance the intellectual, social, and spiritual growth of every student. A collection of offices, and departments offer developmental and sequential programs and services to support students and enrich their learning experience. Our events and activities do more than support students; they also encourage the spiritual integration of prayer, reflection, and discernment into their busy academic and personal lives. The mission of the Division of Student Development is to support a transformative education by offering programs and initiatives which aspire to provide unparalleled service to students, providing vision and leadership for a holistic student experience
Student Development Offices During J - TERM:
Housing at Lake Shore Campus: Residence Life will make accommodation available for about 30 students on a first-come, first-served basis. Room rate is $490 for two weeks. Students interested in housing during J-term may contact Residence Life. All J-term residential students will be supported by resident staff and are expected to adhere to the University’s community standards in addition to the terms and conditions outlined in the housing contract. Students should be prepared for reduced services.
Room and Board at LUREC: The two-week rate at LUREC will be $375.00 per student. This includes room and board. Students taking classes at LUREC should fill out the housing contract and send it to LUREC
Athletics - The Athletic Department will be open and operating during normal business hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Team practices and games for men's and women's basketball, men's volleyball and indoor track will be operating as usual.

Campus Ministry & Sacramental Life – LSC: No weekday Masses; Sunday only. WTC: No Masses until spring semester begins.
Campus Recreation -The Halas facility is open over the break with abbreviated hours, closing at 9:00 pm in the evening. Group fitness classes will not be offered.
Campus Safety – Campus Safety will maintain the same level of support and resources during January Intersession as provided during the academic year.
Dean of Students Office – The Dean of Students Office be available to help students work through challenging situations and to discuss individual and community issues of concern.
Dining Services – Meal plans will not be available for January term. The following dining options are available: Southside Market – 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Simpson Dining -- 11 AM to 1 pm, and 5 pm to 6 pm, Monday through Friday, Connections Cafe - M-F: 7:30 am- 7:30 pm and Sat and Sun. 10 am - 5pm. Student Activities & Greek Affairs – Limited programming will be available.
Sullivan Center for Student Services – HUB - Open til 4:00 PM.
Transportation & Parking –. U-Pass is not available during the breaks per contractual agreements. Shuttles & 8-RIDE will not be running. Students who purchased parking permits for the academic year will be able to use their permit for parking throughout January. Others will have to pay the daily rate.
Water Tower Campus Life – Terry Student Center Information Desk will be closed over the break and will re-open on the 17th.
Wellness Center - WC is open but for shorter hours during the winter break- 8am-4pm Monday – Friday.
