Auditorium and Conference Hall

A brand-new main auditorium and conference hall will be built off the lower level with seating for 168. This facility will help enhance the center’s programs and public visibility. The auditorium is multipurpose and will serve the JFRC’s students and programs. It will finally allow the center to host dynamic and high-profile symposiums and conferences, which will help expand our academic and professional presence in Rome, with other American programs abroad, and throughout Europe.

The auditorium will also be equipped with state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems for the enjoyment of performing arts students and aficionados. Its large grade-level windows will allow for more natural sunlight, and there will be additional outdoor seating at the outdoor terrace, located directly across from the auditorium’s entryway.

Brand New Classrooms

Nine brand new and two updated classrooms will provide all our students with not only more room in which to learn, but also up-to-date services that will make instruction--and learning--that much more effective.

New Board Room

The new board room provides the perfect space for board meetings, special luncheons and presentations, and all external-relations meetings and functions. This newly configured flexible space will be split between the JFRC Chapel and the lecture and study hall. The space is flexible because the chapel area has two moveable walls: an altar is on one end, and a wall that opens up to the conference and study area is on the other. When the separating wall opens, the space can accommodate as many as 74 guests.

Staff Offices

Our faculty and staff offices are overdue for an update and with an addition of three new offices, the total office space will reach 25.
