Graduate Programs: LL.M. Degree in Child and Family Law

Class Size: Loyola usually enrolls a class of 5-7 LL.M. students each year.

Student Body Profile: To date, LL.M. students have come from throughout the U.S. and the world, including Puerto Rico, the Philippines and Brazil. Many have extensive experience in working with children and families. Others seek an LL.M. degree as a way of changing the focus of their legal careers. Still others are recent law school graduates.

Alumni: Graduates of Loyola's LL.M. program are working throughout the United States in the areas of direct child and family representation, policy development, court, agency, hospital and government administration, and higher education.

Tuition and Financial Aid: Tuition for the 2009-2010 school year is $1,205.00 per credit hour. Partial tuition remission may be available for well-qualified students; loan assistance is available for eligible candidates. (Tuition for the 2010-2011 school year will not be determined until May, 2010.)

Fellowships: Upon acceptance to the program, LL.M. applicants may apply for a partial tuition remission fellowship. Such fellowships are awarded on the basis of merit and financial need. The maximum fellowship award is one-half of one year's tuition. In addition, LL.M. students may be eligible for work study funds or for scholarships from external organizations.
