Registration Information: LOCUS Instructions

Using LOCUS To Register

LOCUS: Loyola's Online Connection to University Services is a Web-based self-service system that enables students to access information and services online.

LOCUS will be available virtually 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Go to the LOCUS home page: www.luc.edu/locus.

2. Login to LOCUS: Your LOCUS User I.D. and password are, by default, your Universal Computer I.D. and password. This is the I.D. and password that you use to access the Loyola computer network and your University E-mail. New Students are issued Universal I.D.'s and passwords in a letter from the Admissions Office sent to all new students in July.

3. Register

4. Locus Help

LOCUS Help provides detailed instructions and guidelines to using LOCUS shop, drop and swap courses.

If your registration is blocked by a hold, you will receive a block message when you try to add or drop a course. You may use the "Holds" function in your LOCUS Personal Portfolio to determine if you have a hold and whom to contact to have the hold removed.

If you have any questions about using LOCUS, please call the Help Desk at (773) 508-7190 or e-mail: locus@luc.edu.

It is a serious violation of university policy for a student to attend any class without first registering for it. Instructors may not make exceptions to this policy.

Additional Information

  1. When you receive a statement of tuition charges in the mail after registering, follow the Office of the Bursar instructions carefully. If you withdraw from a course after registering, your account will be credited only according to the Student Business Office's published schedule.
  2. If you are a Loyola student continuing from a previous term, update your address, telephone and the like, if necessary. Students are responsible for ensuring that Loyola has accurate student addresses on file.
  3. To avoid incurring fees, students must complete their withdrawals using LOCUS.

Other LOCUS Functions:
