Public Service Law

The Center for Public Service Law was created in 1994 to promote student and alumni involvement in public service. Activities include advocating and facilitating law student pro bono service, providing career support to students interested in public service employment after graduation, and enriching the educational environment with regard to public interest law.

The Center works closely with the Loyola Public Interest Law Society (PILS) and other student groups that undertake public service activity. It supports the Loyola Public Interest Law Reporter, a student-edited national magazine of news and features on the law of human rights, economic justice, criminal justice, the environment and government operations. It also sponsors a variety of programs and events, prepares and disseminates informational materials, and provides individual career counseling and job search assistance.
