Law and Religion

The goal of Loyola University Chicago School of Law’s new program in Law and Religion is to explore the relationship between law and the three Abrahamic  Faiths:  Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. As normative systems, the religions and the law shape our culture and individuals, and they are in turn influenced by each other. By exploring these interactions from an inter-faith perspective, we hope to promote mutual understanding, respect, and a greater enrichment of scholarship in the study of law and religion.
