Clinics
For students, faculty and alumni, Loyola's five legal clinics represent a valuable bridge between theory and practice, classroom and career. Through the clinics, the School of Law offers service to others in a way that gives them dignity while providing students with practical legal experience.
In spring 2003, the law school celebrated the 20th anniversary of its clinical program that began with the founding of its Community Law Center, followed in later years by the Federal Tax, Child and Family Law, Business Law Center and Elder Law Clinics.
Acknowledging the hands-on experience and practical knowledge that students gain from the law school's clinics, the Poverty Law Section of the Association of American Law Schools places Loyola among the top 20 public interest programs at law schools in the United States; Loyola is the only law school in Illinois with this designation.
