LSAT/LSDAS
Law Services of Newtown, Pennsylvania, administers the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) four times each year at testing centers throughout the United States and abroad. Law Services also analyzes and provides a report of transcripts through its Law School Data Assembly Service (LSDAS).
Normally, arrangements to take the test must be made at least four weeks prior to the test date, although late registration may be permitted. You should request that your scores and the LSDAS analysis of your undergraduate transcripts be sent to Loyola (our LSDAS code is 1412).
In order to register for the transcript analysis and letter of recommendation services of LSDAS, follow the instructions provided in the registration packet or on Law Services' Website. You can register for the LSDAS services at the same time you register to take the LSAT. You will need to arrange for transcripts of all college or university work you have undertaken to be forwarded directly to Law Services from those institution(s). The transcripts will be analyzed by Law Services and will be photocopied and attached to each LSDAS report sent to the law schools you have selected. However, your application must be received by our office and an official request from us must be submitted before we receive your LSDAS report.
Please note that Law Services will not send a report to any law school until it has received and analyzed a transcript from every undergraduate institution you have attended. This includes summer sessions and semesters abroad. Candidates reapplying for admission to Loyola need to make sure that their subscription to LSDAS is current.
It normally takes three to four weeks for a completed LSDAS report to arrive in the admission office after being requested by the office. It is strongly recommended that you check the online service of LSDAS to monitor the arrival of transcripts.
In order to enroll in the fall, each entering student must provide final, certified transcripts from the undergraduate institution they graduated from and graduate school attended, showing degrees awarded. The transcripts accompanying the LSDAS report will not suffice, because the copies sent to us by LSDAS are not official or certified, and in many cases are not final.
