Criminal Law

Criminal law involves prosecution by the government of a person for an act that has been classified as a crime. Generally speaking, criminal law includes prosecuting and defending individuals accused of crimes. Being a criminal law requires skills beyond being a good trial lawyer including negotiation, investigative, counseling, and sometimes even social work skills.
