Compliance Studies at Loyola University Chicago School of Law
Loyola University Chicago School of Law is leading the way in Compliance Studies. Loyola is one of the few universities in the country allowing students to earn a masters degree with a concentration in compliance. Many industries face a growing number of complex regulations, creating a need for more compliance professionals to navigate an ever-changing regulatory environment. The Wall Street Journal recently identified compliance as “the hottest job in America.” Compliance has opened a new career path to integrate law and operations.
Loyola University Chicago offers two graduate degree programs that allow students to focus their studies in compliance. The Master of Jurisprudence (MJ) degree, offered solely online, is designed to educate professionals in health care and business about the laws and regulations governing those industries. The Master of Laws (LLM) is an advanced law degree that allows attorneys to specialize in particular areas of legal practice. Loyola offers LLM degrees on campus and online with a compliance focus in both health law and business law.
Compliance plays an especially vital role in health care delivery because of the number of regulations that health care entities face. The Beazley Institute for Health Law and Policy at Loyola University Chicago School of Law offers both an MJ in Health Law for health care professionals and an LLM in Health Law for attorneys seeking specialized knowledge of the health care industry. Both degrees can be completed with a compliance focus. Loyola University Chicago School of Law is accredited by the Compliance Certification Board (CCB), which is affiliated with the Health Care Compliance Association, so that students fulfilling certain minimum requirements are eligible to sit for any CCB health care-related exam.
