About

Ashley is an Associate General Counsel at the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. She is responsible for providing legal support to primary internal clients, such as Government Markets and the Office of Clinical Affairs, on legal, regulatory and compliance issues. Prior to joining BCBSA, Ashley worked at BCBSIL as an enterprise network consultant and as an associate at a law firm focusing on employment and civil rights litigation. She also served as an Assistant Attorney General, representing the State of Illinois in a wide array of civil litigation. Ashley has extensive experience successfully arguing motions, advising clients on legal matters, and conducting settlement negotiations.

Ashley earned her law degree at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, and early experience included serving as a judicial law clerk for Judge LeRoy K. Martin, Jr. and Judge Anna H. Demacopoulos in the Chancery Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. Following her clerkship, Ashley transferred to the Criminal Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County to serve as a staff attorney, assisting a team of judges with a variety of criminal and constitutional matters.
