Megan Bess serves as the assistant director of the Beazley Institute for Health Law and Policy. She oversees all department operations, including strategic planning, development and implementation of student and academic policies, management of health law degree programs, externship placement and site relationships, marketing, and financial operations. Megan counsels and advises health law students on academic matters and career and externship placement in the health law field.
Prior to coming to Loyola, Megan worked as an associate attorney in the litigation group of Winston & Strawn. She earned her certification in mediation from the Center for Conflict Resolution in Chicago. Megan has served on the Youth Guidance Metro Board and on the board of the Chicago Chapter of the American Constitution Society. She volunteers with Rape Victim Advocates and at the East Lakeview Food Pantry.
