Sara Block is an alumna of Loyola University Chicago School of Law, having graduated magna cum laude. During her time at Loyola, Sara was a ChildLaw Fellow, an executive member of the Children’s Legal Rights Journal, and the leader of Law Related Education – a program that taught residents of the juvenile detention center about their legal rights. After graduating law school, Sara was a Skadden Fellow at the Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago. Her fellowship focused on the intersection of domestic violence and child welfare. Sara successfully represented mothers who were victims of domestic violence in regaining custody of their children from the State and repeatedly convinced the court that the existence of domestic violence in the home does not deem the victimized parent as neglectful. Sara also has extensive experience working with the juvenile justice system. Sara currently teaches online law courses and enjoys spending her days with her daughter.
