About

Teresa Frisbie has been involved in alternative dispute resolution for most of the past two decades. Named a Top Ten Women ADR Neutral as well as a Leading Lawyer in Alternative Dispute Resolution in the categories of international, employment and commercial litigation by her peers, as reported by Illinois Leading Lawyer, she has mediated and arbitrated hundreds of disputes ranging from real estate and business conflicts to estate and employment cases. She also facilitates workplace conflict and communication issues.

Ms. Frisbie has been selected as a member of The National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, a certified mediator in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois Law, Probate and Chancery Division mediation programs, and a mediator and arbitrator for ADR Systems of America, LLC. She served ten years as a mediator for the Center for Conflict Resolution as well as many years as an arbitrator for the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois.

She was named a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, London, in 1997, is on the Executive Committee for the International Academy of Dispute Resolution and has served as executive director and a panel member for the Chicago International Dispute Resolution Association. She is a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution, and has been involved with many other dispute resolution organizations over the years.

Ms. Frisbie also writes and presents regularly on dispute resolution and is a columnist for the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin. She has trained law students, business professionals, lawyers, judges, realtors, physicians and nurses in mediation, mediation advocacy, negotiation, conflict management and/or international arbitration in the United States and internationally. She also teaches mediation advocacy and coaches Loyola’s international mediation team.

Ms. Frisbie began her career at Foran & Schultz, where she was a partner, spent several years at Davis McGrath, LLC, and has been of counsel at DeGrand & Wolfe P.C. since 2006.
